A Quick Mover

I am amazed at how fast Sawyer gets around!!  He is still rolling everywhere and has mastered how to sit up , turn his body to a certain position and then roll to where he needs to go...he cracks me up!  Not only does he roll everywhere he also LOVES to go to the places he knows he isn't supposed to.  We have put pillows and rolled up blankets in front of things (hearth, tables, magazine rack etc) so that he doesn't get hurt or grab things that he doesn't need (electrical cords etc).  Well, he has 2 places he loves to 'travel' to and that is the register on the floor because he loves how it feels as well as enjoys the air blowing in his face and the other place he loves is under the end table!  It's so stinking hilarious....he rolls over to it, pushes the pillow aside that we have in front of it and somehow gets himself situated under the table!  So, I had walked out of the living room to grab a load of laundry to fold and when I came back (a few very short seconds later!!) he had  rolled to the table, moved the pillow and made himself at home!  I did sit and enjoy watching him for a few minutes as he thought he had gotten away with something again!  Needless to say after this stunt I have moved all of the items that needed cords from the top and the table and we are now cord free under there!!  Man...do I love this little guy!!

Sawyer Pulls Himself Up To Stand!

Sawyer LOVES to climb all over us as we play on the floor.  Last week (Tuesday night) he was playing around with Daddy and then pulled himself up to stand!  It was so cute! I also loved daddy's expression....he looked at me (I was sitting on the couch pumping) and he says with a huge grin on his face "did you see that...he just pulled himself up to stand"!  I was so glad we were together to see Sawyer hit another milestone.

Sawyer had just crawled over daddy's stomach

Ta-Dah!!

A Walk In The Park

I made a goal for this summer to walk as often as I could at Pearson Park.  Sawyer and I met up with "Aunt Shawn" and had a very nice walk.  On our path we happened to see this deer...she was so sweet and stood and stared right back at us!  I hope to see many more days with her at the park this summer!

Maggie Graduates

We were excited to celebrate Maggie's graduation from Clay High School on June 3rd.  We all came back to our house for a family cookout and ofcourse some pictures too!

Uncle Keith, Aunt Lisa, Maggie and cousin Sawyer
This picture cracks me up!!  Sawyer grabbed Maggie's tassel and her reaction is priceless!

Here is Grandma Joyce with her 4 grandkids:

Barrel Biscuits

On our drive home from Jasper, Indiana from another FLW weekend we stopped at the Cracker Barrel for dinner.  Sawyer was his usual sweet, adorable self while there.  He had the waitress and a few other dinner guests wrapped around his finger!  Our waitress was so excited to give Sawyer his 1st "Barrel Biscuit"...which is one of their famous sourdough biscuits and jelly.  Because we have not given Sawyer any actual table food (other than what Gerber provides us in a jar) we simply let him have a taste of the jelly.  Grandma was the one holding him at the time, so she was the giver of the jelly.  He didn't seem to mind the jelly...made his usual funny face when he tries something new.

I found this cute idea on Pinterest...to take pictures and spell D-A-D.  This is what I came up with...and made daddy a mousepad for work and also put them in a picture frame.  I think it turned out cute....I hope daddy does too!
